職責
家禽巡邏督導員的主要職責包括：(a)帶領小隊巡邏鄉郊地區，巡查有否非法散養家禽；(b)督導人員收集樣本(例如血液樣本、糞便樣本、環境樣本、蛋類樣本、動物屍體及禽畜樣本)，以便進行科別指定的禽流感監測工作；(c)為進行視察準備所需裝備或物料(例如個人保護用具、收集樣本的工具及宣傳物料)；(d)執行科別指示的其他輔助及相關職務；以及(e) 教育村民有關禽流感的風險，特別是避免散養家禽的重要性。
The Poultry Patrol Supervisor (Part-time) is mainly deployed on (a) leading a team to patrol rural areas for investigating illegal backyard poultry; (b) supervising staff to collect samples (such as blood samples, cloacal samples, environmental samples, egg samples, animal carcasses and livestock samples) for the purpose of avian influenza surveillance designated by the Division; (c) preparing equipment or materials required (such as personal protective gears, tools for sampling and publicity materials) for conducting inspections; (d) performing other supplementary and related duties as directed by the Division; and (e) providing education to villagers in terms of avian influenza risk, in particular the importance of prevention of illegal backyard poultry.
入職條件
申請人必須(a)(i)持有香港的理工學院／理工大學或工業學院所頒發的自然科學或應用科學或有關學科的文憑或高級證書，或具同等學歷；或(ii)持有農業或林務學校／學院所頒發的文憑，或具同等學歷；以及(b)具備最少25年從事禽畜工作、動物健康及動物福利相關範疇的經驗。申請人如持有有效的香港駕駛執照(類別1和2)，可獲優先考慮。
The applicant should have (a)(i) a diploma or higher certificate in Natural or Applied Science or related subjects from a Hong Kong Polytechnic / Polytechnic University or technical institute, or equivalent; or (ii) a diploma from an agriculture or forestry school/college, or equivalent; and (b) at least 25 years of experience in the field of livestock work, animal health and animal welfare. Preference will be given to candidates with a valid Hong Kong Driving License (class 1 and 2).
