(a) To co-ordinate the planning, development, dissemination, and review of the curricula relating to values education (including moral and civic education, national education etc.);
(b) To design and develop related learning and teaching resources;
(c) To plan, organise and conduct professional development programmes, and to carry out school visits in support of the implementation of the above curricula;
(d) To carry out research and development projects in relation to values education (including moral and civic education, national education etc.);
(e) To co-ordinate, organise and conduct activities, including learning circles/school networks and tours, for teachers and students to promote values education (including moral and civic education, national education etc.);
(f) To collaborate with related organisations for facilitating smooth implementation of values education (including moral and civic education, national education etc.);
(g) To provide secretarial and professional support to internal/external meetings, as well as committees under the Curriculum Development Council; and
(h) To perform any other duties as assigned.

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in humanities or Chinese Language disciplines and a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [See Note (ii)];
(b) Met the language proficiency requirement of 'Level 2' results in the two language papers [Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)] in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [See Notes (iii)];
(c) At least 6 years' relevant post-qualification [as specified in (a)] experience in teaching and /or curriculum development, preferably in the areas of values education, humanities subjects, Liberal Studies and/or Chinese Language education [See Note (iv)];
(d) Possess sound knowledge and educational experience in the area of the values education as well as the local education system; and
(e) Candidates who possess a higher degree (e.g. a second/higher degree) related to law, curriculum development and/or educational management, or equivalent preferred.
