(a) To coordinate recruitment exercises to recruit young people and people of diverse race as CAS members;

(b) To organise, coordinate and conduct a wide range of training and events for young people, people of diverse race and the local community, including training on flag-raising, footdrill, emergency preparedness and discipline;

(c) To act as an CAS ambassador to the general public and the diverse race community, and assist in liaising with government departments, non-governmental organisations, local schools and commercial organisations for promoting the programmes of the Public Education Section;

(d) To serve as a supervisor, trainer and/or mentor of the youth training activities and assist in preparing training materials; and

(e) To assist in the management of quarantine centres, including the operational and logistical support duties as required.

Candidates should:

(a) (i) have Level 2 or equivalent [Note (1)] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [Note (2)], or equivalent; or
(ii) have Level 2 [Note (3)] / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [Note (2)], or equivalent;

(b) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (3)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;

(c) have at least one year of full-time or two years of part-time working experience in civil defence or youth work or in carrying out outdoor activities; and

(d) have good command of Cantonese and English.
