職責
課程發展處總監須負責:
(a) 就與幼稚園、小學及中學教育(包括資優、智障及非華語學生教育)的課程發展相關的所有事宜,向教育局常任秘書長、教育局副秘書長和課程發展議會提供專家意見;
(b) 制訂、領導及指揮課程發展工作及推行策略,以配合不斷變遷的社會狀況及需要;
(c) 與相關持份者溝通,並進行評鑑研究,以提供課程發展的資料和監察課程發展工作;
(d) 提升學校評核的認知,並與香港考試及評核局合作,確保香港中學文憑考試與高中課程互相配合;以及
(e) 以總監身分監督課程發展處的工作,使該處提供的專業服務與有關各方的工作得以協調。
The CE(CDI) will be responsible for –
(a) tendering expert advice to the Permanent Secretary for Education, Deputy Secretary for Education and the Curriculum Development Council on all matters relating to curriculum development in kindergarten, primary and secondary education, including those for the gifted, intellectual disabilities, and non-Chinese speaking students;
(b) formulating, leading and directing curriculum development and implementation strategies suited to Hong Kong's changing contexts and needs;
(c) communicating with relevant stakeholders and conducting evaluation research to inform and monitor curriculum development;
(d) promoting assessment literacy in schools and collaborating with the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority to ensure alignment of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination with senior secondary curriculum; and
(e) overseeing the work of the Curriculum Development Institute as its chief executive and directing the alignment of the professional services provided by the Institute with other relevant parties.

申請人必須符合下列條件:
(a) 持有香港任何一所大學頒授的學士學位或具備同等學歷,並持有教育碩士或博士學位,以及香港任何一所專上教育機構頒授的學位教師教育證書,或具備同等學歷;
(b) 於取得學士學位後,在教學及以下一個或多個範疇至少具有12年全職工作經驗:課程發展、師資培訓、視學、學校行政、校本支援服務、與教育有關的研究及評估項目,其中至少五年須在教育界擔任高層管理職位或主要行政職位。具備在本地教育界包括教育機構及學校的服務經驗者,可獲優先考慮;
(c) 了解本港教育制度近年的發展,尤其是現今課程發展和教育改革的趨勢;
(d) 具備良好的溝通技巧及人際關係,並具政治觸覺;以及
(e) 具備良好的中英文語文能力。
Candidates should possess –
(a) a bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; plus a higher degree in education, and a postgraduate certificate in education, from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution, or equivalent;
(b) at least 12 years' post-first-degree experience in teaching and one or more of the following areas on a full-time basis: curriculum development, teacher education, inspection of schools, school administration, school-based support service, research and assessment projects related to education. At least 5 out of the 12 years should be at the senior management level or in a key administrative position in the field of education. Experience in the local education field including institutions and/or schools will be an advantage;
(c) awareness of recent developments in the education system with particular reference to current trends in curriculum development and education reforms in Hong Kong;
(d) good communication and interpersonal skills with political acumen; and
(e) good command of both English and Chinese.
