• (a)To assist in planning, organizing and implementing various aspects of electoral work relating to the preparation and conduct of public elections;
• (b)To liaise with relevant government departments and organization for publicizing and conducting various electoral activities and operations;
• (c)To assist in coordinating legislative amendments to electoral laws;
• (d)To supervise and coordinate the work of various task teams; and
• (e)To perform any other duties assigned as appropriate.

Note:

• (1)Preference will be given to candidates who have good knowledge and experience in planning and organizing large scale public elections as well as coordinating legislative amendments; and
• (2)Will be required to work irregular hours and on public holidays.

Candidates should –

• (a)Have a bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, plus at least 15 years’ working experience in administration and management work or large-scale project/event management;
• (b)Have Level 2 (Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
• (c)Have good command of written and spoken Chinese and English;
• (d)Be able to plan, co-ordinate and implement a new project independently; and
• (e)Have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Note: ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
