A part-time Survey Officer is mainly deployed on (a) inspecting and reporting on licensed premises for compliance with the licensing conditions or other building related issues, (b) researching and collecting building information of licensed premises from office records, (c) providing technical support in compilation of statistics on building related issues of licensed premises, under the Hotel and Guesthouse Accommodation Ordinance (Cap.349), Clubs (Safety of Premises) Ordinance (Cap.376), Bedspace Apartments Ordinance (Cap.447) and Karaoke Establishments Ordinance (Cap.573), and (d) other related duties as and when required.

Notes:
(a) The place of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs. Successful candidates may be required to work outdoors occasionally.
(b) The number of working hours is subject to the operational needs but in general will not exceed 16 hours per week. There is no guarantee on the minimum number of hours of work in any given period.
(c) Successful candidates are normally required to work during office hours on weekdays (i.e. Monday to Friday), and may be required to work during irregular hours and overtime, including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Candidates should have (a) a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies, Building Surveying or Building Technology from a Hong Kong Polytechnic / University, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or technical institute / college, or equivalent; and (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 1) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.
