職責
馬屬動物疾病科職位(A):
獸醫(兼職)主要負責(a)協助有關科別執行包括財務和人力資源的運作、管理和管制工作;(b)協助監督大龍獸醫化驗所的日常運作,與實驗室合作夥伴和內地監管部門合作提供專業意見;(c)就馬匹健康提供專業意見,以保障香港賽馬的健康和表現;(d)就出口動物或動物產品簽發官方健康證明書並加簽所需文件;(e)協助馬屬動物疾病科主管進行動物疾病風險分析;(f)就動物傳染病定期提供專業意見;(g)監督以下條例及附屬法例的日常實施和執行情況:《公眾衞生(動物及禽鳥)條例》(第139章)、《防止殘酷對待動物條例》(第169章) 和《狂犬病條例》(第421章);(h)監督收集和編製與履行法定職能有關的統計數據;(i)為馬屬動物疾病科執行的一般行政/管理工作;以及(j)執行上司指派的任何其他職務。(可能須不定時和輪班工作。)

獸醫(兼職)主要負責(a)協助有關科別執行包括財務和人力資源的運作、管理和管制工作;(b)協助監督捕捉野生動物行動的日常運作,就接獲因人類與野生動物發生衝突和滋擾而引起的投訴個案提供專家證供和意見;(c)就處理野生動物和動物種群的復原和保育事宜提供專業意見;(d)為管理野生動物(包括捕捉、評估、治療和種群控制)提供獸醫支援;(e)協助科別主管處理關於野生動物滋擾和拯救受困或受傷野生動物的投訴和通訊;(f)就動物傳染病定期提供專業意見;(g)監督以下條例及附屬法例的日常實施和執行情況:《野生動物保護條例》(第170章);(h)監督收集和編製與履行法定職能有關的統計數據;(i)為有關科別執行的一般行政/管理工作;以及(j)執行上司指派的任何其他職務。(可能須不定時和輪班工作。)

Post (A) of Equine Disease Division:
The Veterinarian (Part-time) is mainly deployed to (a) assist in operation, management and control, which includes financial and human resources, of the Division; (b) assist in supervising the daily operation in Tai Lung Veterinary Laboratory and providing professional judgement in collaboration with laboratory partners and Mainland authorities; (c) provide professional advice on equine health in order to safeguard the health and performance of racehorses in Hong Kong; (d) issue official health certificate and endorse the required documents for animal or animal product’s export; (e) assist Division Head in handling animal disease risk analysis; (f) provide routine professional input for animal infectious diseases; (g) supervise the daily implementation and enforcement of the following Ordinances and sub-legislation: Public Health (Animals and Birds) Ordinance, Cap. 139, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance, Cap. 169, and Rabies Ordinance, Cap. 421; (h) supervise the collection and compilation of statistics relating to the relevant statutory functions; (i) supervise the collection and compilation of statistics relating to the relevant statutory functions; (j) general administrative/management duties for the Division; and (k) any other duties as assigned by supervisors. (May be required to work irregular hours and shifts.)
Post (B) of Fauna Conservation Division:
The Veterinarian (Part-time) is mainly deployed to (a) assist in operation, management and control, which includes financial and human resources, of the Division; (b) assist in supervising the daily operation of wild animal capturing operations and providing professional statement and opinions on complaint cases arise from human and wildlife conflict and nuisance cases received; (c) provide professional advice on the handling of wildlife and fauna for their rehabilitation and conservation; (d) provide veterinary support to the management of wildlife, including capture, assessment, treatment and population control; (e) assist Division Head in handling complaints and correspondence related to wildlife nuisances and the rescue of trapped or injured wild animals; (f) provide routine professional input for animal infectious diseases; (g) supervise the daily implementation and enforcement of the following Ordinances and sub-legislation: Wild Animals Protection Ordinance, Cap. 170; (h) supervise the collection and compilation of statistics relating to the relevant statutory functions; (i) supervise the collection and compilation of statistics relating to the relevant statutory functions; (j) general administrative/management duties for the Division; and (k) any other duties as assigned by supervisors. (May be required to work irregular hours and shifts.)

入職條件
申請人必須(a)為註冊獸醫,並持有根據《獸醫註冊條例》(第529章)*發出的有效執業證明書;(b)具備至少一年執業經驗,有大型動物診斷經驗者優先;(c)符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績,或具同等成績;以及(d)具備至少兩年工作經驗,其中包括一年擔任馬獸醫的經驗或擔任動物/珍禽異獸/野生動物獸醫的經驗或持有相關範疇的持續進修課程證明。申請人如持有有效的香港駕駛執照(車輛類別01和02),會獲優先考慮。

The applicant should (a) be registered as a veterinary surgeon and holding a valid practising certificate issued under the Veterinary Surgeons Registration Ordinance, Cap. 529*; (b) have at least one year of experience in practice and preferably with large animal experience; (c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and (d) have at least two years of work experience, one of which is the experience of an equine veterinarian or the experience of a zoological/exotic/wildlife veterinarian or the prove of continual education in the field of relevance. Preference will be given to candidates with a valid Hong Kong driving license (class codes 01 & 02).
