To supervise and develop the daily operation of Instrumental Music Training Scheme, orchestra/band/ensemble training programmes and outreach interest classes; to undertake conducting responsibilities; to plan music programmes for the various Music Office activities; to develop and review training curricula; to plan and implement internal assessment of trainees; to liaise with parents, musicians and community organizations; and to supervise Music Officers, Assistant Music Officers, administrative and part-time staff in the Wind Section of the Music Office. (Will be required to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and Public Holidays.)

(a) Associate/Licentiate/Fellowship diploma in the wind/western percussion discipline [Note (i)] conferred by a recognized music institution through public examination, or equivalent; or a diploma in music from a recognized institution with a major study in the wind/ western percussion discipline [Note (i)]; (b) not less than 7 years' post-qualification working experience in instrumental teaching/performing and orchestral conducting in the wind/western percussion discipline [Note (i)] in recognized institutions or organizations on a full-time basis; (c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [Notes (ii) & (iii)]; and (d) fluent Cantonese and good written and spoken Chinese and English.
