(a) To provide on-site support to kindergartens with Non-Chinese Speaking students with an aim to enhance teachers' competence in the curriculum development process; (b) To equip the participating teachers with the understanding, skills and pedagogical capacity for developing Non-Chinese Speaking students' ability in using Chinese as a means of communication and learning; (c) To design induction and professional development programs for teachers to support Non-Chinese Speaking students; (d) To facilitate the building of a Project Learning Network for kindergartens with Non-Chinese Speaking students; and (e) To conduct seminars and workshops for schools, aiming at disseminating the theories and good practices of supporting the learning of Non-Chinese Speaking students.

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education / Chinese Language / Chinese Language Education, or equivalent [See Note (ii)]; (b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent; (c) Met the language proficiency requirement of 'Level 2' results in the two language papers [Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)] in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [See Note (iii)]; (d) At least 6 years' relevant post-qualification experience in teaching, supervision, resource management, conducting educational research, training or providing direct support to schools to enhance Chinese Language learning [See Note (iv)]; and (e) Preference will be given to candidates who have: (1) a higher degree or equivalent in related discipline [See Note (ii)]; (2) professional experiences in working with Non-Chinese Speaking students; (3) good knowledge of the local education system and the curriculum reform; (4) knowledge of current trends in Chinese Language education in both local and international settings; (5) proven leadership, excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; (6) good proficiency in Cantonese and English; and (7) a fine character and integrity and be committed to serve in the education field.
