職責
在外籍英語教師組內擔任二級計劃主任〔中學外籍英語教師〕。有關的職責包括:
(a) 擔任外籍英語教師區域統籌員,並協助本地公營中學推行「以英語為母語的英語教師」(「英語教師」) 加強計劃;
(b) 為中學英文科教師,包括「英語教師」,籌備及舉辦中央、地區性和校本專業發展講座及工作坊;
(c) 發展教學資源及策略以支援中學英國語文課程的推行;
(d) 擔當課程領導者角色,帶領「英語教師」及英文科教師發展校本英國語文課程,並落實由教育局及課程發展議會所制定有關英國語文課程文件內的建議;
(e) 幫助建立和維持中學英文科科組的區域網絡,以促進資源共享;
(f) 協助外籍英語教師區域統籌小組策劃、進行、監察及評估有關研究與發展項目的工作;
(g) 為參與研究與發展項目的學校提供適切的到校支援服務,如出席共同備課節;
(h) 協助籌辦全港性比賽,以提升中學生參與英語活動的興趣和動機,並提供機會讓他們運用英語進行協作,和發展他們具創意地運用英語的能力;
(i) 協助收集、整理及分析與在中學「英語教師」加強計劃下「英語教師」工作調配有關的數據資料;
(j) 協助規劃和發展全港性中學「英語教師」加強計劃的評估框架,並與提供評估服務機構聯繫,以方便數據的收集,分析,闡釋和發布;
(k) 執行與外籍英語教師區域統籌小組有關的日常行政工作;以及
(l) 如有需要,按教育局局長或其指定人員的要求,執行與該計劃有關的其他職務。
To perform the role of Project Officer II (Secondary Native-speaking English Teacher). The duties are as follows:
(a) To undertake the role of a Regional Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Coordinator and assist in the implementation of the Enhanced NET Scheme in public-sector secondary schools;
(b) To organise and conduct centralised, regional, district-based and school-based professional development seminars and workshops for secondary English teachers, including NETs;
(c) To develop materials and strategies which support the implementation of the Secondary English Language curriculum;
(d) To act as curriculum leader to support NETs and other English panel members in the development of a school-based English Language curriculum and the implementation of the recommendations from the relevant English Language curriculum documents published by the Education Bureau and the Curriculum Development Council;
(e) To assist in building and maintaining regional networks of English Panels to foster the sharing of resources;
(f) To assist the Regional NET Coordinating Team (RNCT) head in planning, conducting, monitoring and evaluating research and development projects;
(g) To provide on-site support for schools participating in research and development projects, such as taking part in collaborative lesson planning sessions;
(h) To assist in organising competitions for secondary students to enhance their interest and motivation to engage in English activities and their ability to use English creatively and collaboratively;
(i) To assist in collecting, compiling and analysing data on the deployment of NETs in secondary schools under the Enhanced NET (ENET) Scheme;
(j) To assist in planning and developing a framework for the territory-wide evaluation of the ENET Scheme, and in liaising with the evaluation service provider to facilitate data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination;
(k) To perform administrative duties related to the day-to-day operation of the RNCT; and
(l) To perform any other duties with regard to the ENET Scheme as and when required by the Secretary for Education or such other officers as the Secretary may nominate.
入職條件
應徵者須以英語為母語,或具備操英語為母語的能力*,並持有:
(a) 持有本港頒授的學士學位,主修英國語文為佳,或具備同等學歷;
(b) 持有本港專上教育機構所頒授的教育証書 (英文為主修科目) 或等同學歷;
(c) 持有語文教育、語言學或應用語言學碩士學位者為佳;
(d) 符合語文能力要求,即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科成績達第3等級或以上,或具備同等成績[參閱註];
(e) 在取得學位後具備不少於 6 年英國語文科教學經驗;
(f) 具英國語文教學課程發展經驗、師資培訓或研發計劃經驗者可獲優先;
(g) 具備在中學推展電子學習、跨學科英語學習或讀寫發展經驗者可獲優先考慮;以及
(h) 擁有良好英語會話及書寫能力。
*以英語為母語的人士是指自幼年時期已學到英語,並於青少年至成年期間在以英語為第一語言的社區內成長。具備以英語為母語的能力是指書面或口語溝通時能夠自然及流利地使用英語,正確地運用文法,並能表達創意。
非以英語為母語的人士是指非自幼年時期已學到英語,但其使用英語之能力在流暢度,準確性及創意方面均能與以英語為母語之人士無異,他們亦可獲聘為二級計劃主任。
Applicants should be native speakers of English or have native-speaker English competence# and should possess:
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree, preferably majoring in English, or equivalent;
(b) A certificate in education (majoring in English) from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(c) A Master's degree in Language Education, Linguistics or Applied Linguistics is an advantage;
(d) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note];
(e) At least 6 years' post-degree English teaching experience;
(f) Experience in curriculum development in English language teaching, teacher training or research and development projects is an advantage;
(g) Experience in promoting e-learning, language across the curriculum or literacy development is an advantage; and
(h) Good spoken and written English.
# Native speakers of English are people who acquire the language in infancy and develop the language through adolescence and adulthood within a community where English is spoken as the first language. Native-speaker English competence refers to the ability to use English fluently and spontaneously, to give grammatically accurate responses in communication and to write or speak creatively.
Non-native speakers of English, i.e. people who have not acquired the language since early childhood, are also suitable for employment if their English competence is not different from that of native speakers in terms of fluency, accuracy and creativity in language use.
入職條件(註)
政府在聘任時,2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C級及E級成績,在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。
