職責
微生物學主任的主要職責包括 (a) 進行有關全球抗菌素耐藥性情況的研究以促進新的抗菌素耐藥性或其他測試方法的研發;(b)就進行有關耐藥性生物現有的和新開發的表現型和基因型相關測試之核對、驗證和質量控制(包括能力驗證)提供意見,以及隨後將測試方法納入認證範圍;(c) 探討和建議與耐藥性測試相關的事項,例如能夠支持高測試量的新型自動化設備和方法;(d) 研究、計劃、組織和分析耐藥性的監測檢驗;(e) 制定、建議和審視相關的實驗室手冊/程序/標準/質量控制指南;及 (f) 就實驗室測試提供培訓、專業及技術建議予實驗室工作人員。
A Microbiological Officer is mainly deployed on (a) carrying out information research or studies on the global AMR situation to facilitate new AMR or other test methods development ; (b) providing advice on and conducting as directed verification, validation and quality control (including proficiency testing) of existing and newly developed phenotypic and genotypic test methods for AMR organisms (and subsequent adoption of the testing protocol into the scope of accreditation); (c) investigating and advising on matters related to AMR tests such as new equipment and methods to support automation and high throughput; (d) researching, planning, organising and conducting analyses of AMR surveillance testing; (e) developing, recommending and reviewing relevant laboratory manuals/ procedures/ standards/ quality control guidelines; and (f) providing professional and technical advice, and training to other laboratory staff in conducting laboratory tests.

(1) 持有香港任何一所大學醫療化驗科學/微生物學/生物科技/生物醫學科學/獸醫學/生命科學碩士學位,或同等學歷;或
(2) 持有香港任何一所大學醫療化驗科學/微生物學/生物科技/生物醫學科學/獸醫學/生命科學學士學位,或同等學歷;及畢業後具備最少2年在微生物學實驗室的全職工作經驗或與項目(a)(2)相關的研究經驗;及
(b)符合語文能力要求,即綜合招聘考試的兩張語文試卷(中文運用和英文運用)考獲「一級」成績,或具同等成績。
申請人如具備以下條件可獲優先考慮 (i)具優秀的英文寫作能力及能操流利英語; 在微生物學診斷和實驗室相關議題上具監督,處理多項工作及解決問題的能力;從事研究抗菌素耐藥性(耐藥性)之細菌診斷測試的經驗及(ii) 按香港醫務化驗師委員會的登記冊第一部分註冊。

The applicant should -
(a) possess the following qualifications -
(1) a Master degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biomedical Science / Veterinary Science / a field of Life Sciences, from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; or
(2) a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biomedical Science / Veterinary Science / a field of Life Sciences, or equivalent, from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; and 2 years’ full-time post-graduate working experience in a microbiology laboratory or in research relevant to the subjects in item (a)(2) ; and
(b) have met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 1’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination, or equivalent.
Preference would be given to those candidates with (i) excellent written and spoken English; supervisory, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills for microbiology diagnostic and laboratory issues; and experience in research and diagnostic testing of antimicrobial resistant (AMR) bacteria; and (ii) registration under Part I of the Register of the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board of Hong Kong.
