職責
獲取錄者的主要職責包括:–
(a) 管理根據《環境影響評估條例》分別就指定工程項目和非指定工程項目提交的申請書和環境研究,並審閱相關文件;
(b) 就涉及環境影響評估、策略性環境評估和環境研究的事宜與持份者(包括相關申請人、政府決策局及部門、公司、承辦商和顧問)溝通;
(c) 就發展建議和規劃事宜、環境評估方法和技術,以及環境監察和審核的方案,協調和提供專業環保意見;
(d) 就環境影響評估、策略性環境評估或環境研究的國際做法進行研究,並檢視環保成效和工程/工地作業方法;以及
(e) 支援環境研究/調查和與環保相關的網站/數據庫/知識管理系統的合約管理工作。
(工作時間及地點須視乎部門的運作需要而定。獲取錄者或需(a)不定時及超時工作,包括在晚上、周末和周日及公眾假期工作;以及(b)不時在戶外工作。)

The successful candidate is mainly responsible for: -
(a) managing applications under the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Ordinance for designated projects and environmental studies for non-designated projects, and vetting related submissions;
(b) liaising with stakeholders on matters related to EIA, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and the environmental studies, including proponents, government bureaux and departments, corporations, contractors and consultants;
(c) coordinating and delivering professional environmental advice on development proposals and planning matters, methodologies and techniques for environmental assessment and proposals for environmental monitoring and audit;
(d) carrying out research on international EIA, SEA or environmental study practices, together with reviews of environmental outcomes and engineering/ site practices; and
(e) supporting contract administration for environmental studies/ researches and environmentally related website/ database/ knowledge management.
(The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the department. The successful candidate may be required to (a) work irregular hours and overtime, including evenings, weekends and public holidays; and (b) work occasionally outdoors.)

Applicants should have –
(a) a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree in a relevant science, town planning or engineering subject, or equivalent;
(b) a minimum of four years’ relevant full-time post-qualification working experience in environmental protection, environmental impact assessment or environmental planning; and
(c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note: “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth).
