A Clinical Psychologist is mainly deployed on –
(a) conducting psychological assessments, providing psychological treatment, and co-ordinating rehabilitation service;
(b) assisting in the planning and coordinating of clinical psychology service in the health service setting including the development of assessment tools;
(c) participating in the planning and development of health education materials/programmes, and conducting health promotion activities;
(d) participating in health and psychological research;
(e) providing psychology-related training to junior staff and officers in other grades; and
(f) performing related administrative duties.

(Remarks: May be required to work irregular hours. Clinical Psychologists will be posted to various Service Units to perform the above duties. Please note that the duties of some Service Units, such as Family Health Service and Health Promotion Branch, are mainly on planning and development of health education materials/programmes, conducting health promotion activities, and participating in training and research.)

Candidates should have –
(a) a Master degree in Clinical Psychology from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent [Notes (1) and (2)]; and
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of “Level 1” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [Note (3)]; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English.
