(a) assist in the implementation of application projects covering network infrastructure and technical implementation; (b) lead a support team to provide front line end-user support and to maintain computer network and systems operation; (c) liaise with users, development teams and vendors to resolve IT problems and provide specialist advice on IT operations, systems and security management to improve the quality of IT service; (d) partake in the set-up and maintenance of network infrastructure enhancement and contingency solutions; (e) conduct evaluation and procurement of computer equipment and services.

Candidates should have - (a) (i) a Hong Kong degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computing Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent; and 7 years’ experience in data networking and system administration, of which 3 years’ experience in WAN/LAN/WLAN for Windows/Linux/Novell platforms or Oracle database administration or management of web servers and intranet portal or as a technical advisor in the implementation of information technology (IT) projects; OR (ii) an accredited Higher Diploma or an accredited Associate Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computing Engineering or a related discipline, from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; and 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 4 years’ experience in WAN/LAN/WLAN for Windows/Linux/Novell platforms or Oracle database administration or management of web servers and intranet portal or as a technical advisor in the implementation of IT projects; AND (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent [See the Note]. Candidates who possess - (i) experience in technical implementation of IT systems in a broadcasting environment; (ii) experience in adopting IT infrastructure standards in the Government; (iii) experience in handling outsourced IT projects; (iv) good knowledge of multimedia technology; (v) good leadership skills; and (vi) ability to work independently and under pressure will have an advantage.
