Scientific Officer (Medical) (Chinese Medicine)
總薪級表第27點（每月港幣43,120元）至總薪級表第44點（每月港幣86,440元）
職責
科學主任(醫務)(中醫藥)的主要職責包括就以下各項目提供專業支援─
(a) 與中藥有關的不良反應事故所展開的調查；
(b) 中成藥的註冊及中藥商的發牌；
(c) 檢控非法作中醫執業的罪行；
(d) 中醫藥的健康促進活動及健康風險評估；
(e) 研究與發展中藥的標準；以及
(f) 識別和鑑定中藥。
(備註：可能須不定時工作。)
A Scientific Officer (Medical) (Chinese Medicine) is mainly deployed to provide professional support on –
(a) investigation of Chinese Medicine-related adverse events;
(b) registration of proprietary Chinese medicines and licensing of Chinese medicine traders;
(c) prosecution of illegal practice of Chinese medicines;
(d) the conduct of health promotion and health risk assessment on Chinese medicines;
(e) research and development of standards of Chinese medicines; and
(f) identification and authentication of Chinese medicines.
(Note : May be required to work irregular hours.)
入職條件
申請人必須持有－
(a) (i) 香港任何一所大學頒授的中藥學或中藥藥劑學榮譽學士及碩士學位，或具備同等學歷；或
(ii) 任何一所認可大學頒授的農藝學、藥理學或生藥學榮譽學士及碩士學位，或具備同等學歷；或
(iii) 香港任何一所大學頒授的中醫學學士學位，或具備同等學歷，並已根據香港法例第549章《中醫藥條例》註冊為註冊中醫；或
(iv) 香港任何一所大學頒授的化學或生物化學榮譽學士及碩士學位，或具備同等學歷；
及
(b) 符合語文能力要求，即在綜合招聘考試的兩張語文試卷(中文運用及英文運用)中取得「一級」或以上成績(註(1)及(2))。
(備註：申請人可能會獲邀參加筆試。)
Candidates should have –
(a) (i) a Bachelor honours degree and a Master degree in Chinese Medicines or Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; or
(ii) a Bachelor honours degree and a Master degree in Agronomy, Pharmacology or Pharmacognosy from a recognised university, or equivalent; or
(iii) a Bachelor degree in Chinese Medicine from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, and been registered as a registered Chinese medicine practitioner under the Chinese Medicine Ordinance, Cap 549; or
(iv) a Bachelor honours degree and a Master degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
and
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of "Level 1" results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent (Notes (1) and (2)).

入職條件(註)
(1) (i) 綜合招聘考試中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為「二級」、「一級」或「不合格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。
(ii) 香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績，分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。
(iii) 香港高級程度會考英語運用科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績(或同等成績)，則分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。
(iv) 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會視為已符合科學主任(醫務)(中醫藥)職位的英語能力要求。IELTS考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天(即2013年12月13日)仍然有效。
(2) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人在基本法測試(學位╱專業程度職系)的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素，但不會影響其申請公務員職位的資格。原則上，申請人的學歷、經驗和才能仍然是考慮其是否適合被聘用的主要因素。
