- (a)負責督導一所化驗所的工作和該化驗所的員工進行污水、污泥及工商業污水樣本測試工作;
- (b)安排化驗所程序和分析方法;
- (c)監察污水處理廠的污水水質和水質變化趨勢;
- (d)進行實地視察、水流測量及實地污水取樣及化驗;
- (e)就污水處理和工商業污水相關事宜提供意見;
- (f)訓練員工有關化驗所的實務和實地取樣及化驗的工作。
職責
- (a)supervising the work and staff of a laboratory for testing of sewage, sludge and trade effluent samples;
- (b)organizing laboratory procedures and methods of analysis;
- (c)monitoring sewage and effluent quality and trends at sewage treatment works;
- (d)carrying out on-site inspection, flow gauging, field sampling and testing of effluent;
- (e)advising on matters related to sewage treatment and trade effluent discharge; and
- (f)training staff in laboratory practice and field work.

申請人須
- (a)持有本港大學頒發的化學一級或二級榮譽學位，或具備同等學歷，修畢的學分或試卷必須有三分之二為化學並在畢業後有兩年相關的工作經驗；或
- (b)持有本港大學頒發的化學一級或二級榮譽學位，或具備同等學歷，修畢的學分或試卷至少有二分之一為化學以及持有本港大學頒發的化學碩士學位，或具備同等學歷；
- (c)至少一年有關環境化學的戶外實地工作經驗，或具備同等經驗；及
- (d)符合語文能力要求，在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷（中文運用及英文運用）的語文能力要求方面取得「一級」成績，或具備同等成績(見註項(1))
Candidates should have-
- (a)a First or Second Class Honours Degree in Chemistry from a university in Hong Kong or equivalent, with at least 2/3 of the total number of units or papers taken in Chemistry, and two years’ relevant post-graduate experience; or
- (b)a First or Second Class Honours Degree in Chemistry from a university in Hong Kong or equivalent, with at least 1/2 of the total number of units or papers taken in Chemistry, and a Master Degree in Chemistry from a university in Hong Kong or equivalent; and
- (c)at least one-year field experience on matters related to environmental chemistry or equivalent; and
- (d)met the language proficiency requirements of 'Level 1' or above results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) of the CRE or equivalent (See Note 1).
