The post incumbent is responsible for the planning, preparation, implementation, monitoring and management of primary healthcare initiatives, including setting up facilities for delivery of primary healthcare services, financial management and budgeting, procurement of primary healthcare services, and supervision of service delivery by agents.

Candidates should have –

• (a)a qualification registrable in Hong Kong under Nurses Registration Ordinance, Cap. 164 or Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance, Cap. 359;
• (b)substantial work experience in the area of public administration, preferably in the field of public health or healthcare, with solid managerial and supervisory experience (Note 1);
• (c)ability to organize, direct, plan and coordinate community healthcare operations;
• (d)leadership skills including negotiation, problem solving and relationship building with service providers, community groups and other related parties; and
• (e)a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
