(1) to cover and release press photos; (2) to provide professional photography support for the production of publications, posters and other publicity materials; (3) to update stock photographs by initiating photo shootings; (4) to provide professional advice on photographic matters; (5) to supervise the Photographic Section and enhance the quality of its outputs; and (6) to look after inventory and maintenance of photographic equipment.

Applicants should – (1)(a) have a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree with photography as a subject taken, or equivalent; plus at least 20 years’ work experience as a full-time photographer, including experience of supervising junior photographers; OR (b) have an accredited associate degree/higher diploma with photography as a subject taken from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; plus at least 20 years’ work experience as a full-time photographer, including experience of supervising junior photographers; OR (c) have a diploma with photography as a subject taken from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; plus at least 20 years’ work experience as a full-time photographer, including experience of supervising junior photographers; OR (d) have Level 3 or equivalent [Note 1] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [Note 2], or equivalent; or Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Level 3 [Note 3]/Grade C or above in three other subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [Note 2], or equivalent; plus at least 23 years’ work experience as a full-time photographer, including experience of supervising junior photographers; OR (e) have Level 2 or equivalent [Note 1] or above in five subjects in the HKDSEE [Note 2], or equivalent; or Level 2 [Note 3]/Grade E or above in five subjects in the HKCEE [Note 2], or equivalent; plus at least 25 years’ work experience as a full-time photographer, including experience of supervising junior photographers; OR (f) have at least 27 years’ work experience as a full-time photographer, including experience of supervising junior photographers; (2) be able to communicate effectively in Chinese and English; and (3) be prepared to work outside normal office hours and meet tight deadlines. Selection Suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview. They may also be required to take a trade test before the interview.
