Successful candidates will be responsible for: (a) Advising on enquiries relating to the conduct of trust or company service provider licensees, undertaking investigations into suspected cases of breaches and complaints cases and advising on the conduct of sites inspections relating to customer due diligence and record-keeping; (b) Prosecuting offences under relevant provisions of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance; (c) Providing legal advice on taking disciplinary actions on offences and imposing sanctions on trust or company service provider licensees; (d) Assisting senior officers in regular reviews and assessment of policies and procedures on customer due diligence and record-keeping requirements; (e) Updating guidelines to advise on the establishment and implementation of adequate and appropriate anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing systems; (f) Undertaking legal research and conducting briefings in relation to the licensing and regulation of trust or company service providers; and (g) Providing legal advice on the implementation, interpretation and enforcement of the Companies Ordinance including advising on the registrability of documents, other applications under Companies Ordinance and investigation of complaint cases.

Candidates should: (a) (i) be qualified solicitors admitted in a recognized jurisdiction as stipulated under Section 2A and Schedule 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance and have at least 3 years' post-qualification professional experience; or (ii) be qualified barristers with at least 4 years' professional experience since attaining the right to full practice in a recognized jurisdiction as stipulated under Section 2A and Schedule 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance; (b) preferably have sound advocacy skills with a good understanding of criminal law and procedures including the law of evidence; (c) have attained Level 3 or above in English Language and Level 2 or above in Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (Note 1), or equivalent; and (d) be fluent in English and Cantonese. (e) Experience in prosecuting or defending criminal cases in court and general advisory work on prosecution and disciplinary matters will be an advantage.
