• (a)To provide technical support to air monitoring projects;
• (b)To assist in document control for the compliance of ISO 17025;
• (c)To assist in quality assurance work for air monitoring network;
• (d)To assist in the general administration work and annual inventory checking exercise; and
• (e)To perform other duties as assigned by the supervisors as required.

Other Job-related Requirements: The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the department. The successful candidate may be required to

• (a)work during irregular hours and overtime, including evenings, weekends and public holidays; and
• (b)work outdoors.

Applicants should have: –

• (a)a Diploma or Higher Certificate in a relevant science or engineering subject from a Hong Kong university / Hong Kong Polytechnic, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a Hong Kong technical college / Hong Kong technical institute, or equivalent;
• (b)met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent

(Note: ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth); and (c) at least one-year full-time relevant post-qualification working experience in air quality monitoring or HOKLAS accredited laboratory.
