To perform ticket inspection, house programmes and pamphlet distribution, ushering, crowd control and other duties in designated venue(s) under the LCSD. Details to be arranged by venue management. Appointees are required to perform duties under stage lighting, dark and acoustics environment, climb stepped aisles, communicate with patrons, guide and direct patrons to their seats and assist in enforcing venue’s house regulations before and during performance.

(Note: Appointees are required to work irregular hours and on dayshift, nightshift, weekends and public holidays; may need to work after mid-night; walk or stand for a long period of time and wear uniform.)

Successful applicants will be assigned to work either in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre or Hong Kong City Hall. The Department will consider the successful applicants’ areas of residence and full-time jobs (if any), as well as their preferences when assigning their work location. Once the contract is signed, the work location of the successful applicants cannot be altered.

Applicants should have –
(a)(i) Level 2 or equivalent [See Note (1)] or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; OR
(ii) Level 2 [See Note (2)] / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(b) At least two-year full-time working experience;
(c) Able to read and write Chinese and English, speak fluent Cantonese, English and Putonghua; and
(d) Applicants with ushering or relevant experience may have an advantage.
