• (1)To drive postal vehicles (including 5.5-16 tons medium-goods vehicles) for collection and dispatch of mail items; <br>
• (2)To load and unload mail items, including operation of tail board of postal vehicles; <br>
• (3)To clean postal vehicles, perform parking duties and support mail delivery work; <br>
• (4)To perform simple clerical work and complete vehicle usage report (including data-input with PDA); and <br>
• (5)To undertake duties assigned by seniors. <br> <br>Notes: <br>
• (a)Work Location: Any regions in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories. <br>
• (b)Working Hours: The basic working hours are 48 hours per week, 8 hours per day (including one-hour meal break per day); <br>
• (c)The working location and time may vary according to the operational needs of the Department. Selected candidates are required to work shifts, in irregular hours and/or overtime. They may also be required to be on duty on Sundays and / or public holidays on certain occasions, depending on the operational needs. <br>
• (d)Required to wear uniform and work outdoors.

Applicants should: <br>

• (1)Completed Secondary 3, or equivalent; capable of reading and writing simple Chinese and English; <br>
• (2)Applicants are required to pass a fitness test of lifting a mail bag from one place to another; <br>
• (3)With valid driving licenses for private car (code 1), light goods vehicle (code 2), private light bus (code 4) and medium goods vehicle (code 18); <br>
• (4)At least 5 years of full-time working experience in driving field, preferably to have experience in driving private light bus and medium goods vehicles (Documentary proof of relevant experience is required); <br>
• (5)Familiar with the roads and streets of Hong Kong districts; <br>
• (6)Experience of operating tail board is preferred; and <br>
• (7)Only the recommended applicants who can pass the driving test conducted by the Government Logistics Department and get the Government Driving Permit (G.F.8) will be employed.
