見習泳池季節性救生員
見習員主要接受拯溺訓練和認識泳池的日常運作,以考取香港拯溺總會頒發的泳池救生章。
全職泳池季節性救生員
(一) 在本署轄下泳池照顧泳客的安全;
(二) 拯救遇溺泳客;
(三) 維持秩序;以及
(四) 保持場地清潔等。
入職訓練
在受僱期間,見習員會獲安排修讀有關職業技能訓練課程(由有關專業團體提供)及參與專業考試以考取以下的拯溺資格:
(一)拯溺銅章;
(二)急救證書;
(三)水上急救證書;以及
(四)泳池救生章
見習員須先繳付港幣2,500元按金作為訓練和考試費用。為鼓勵見習員成功考取有關的拯溺資格,以及擔任全職泳池季節性救生員一職,見習員只要圓滿完成和通過由本署指定的訓練和考試,並通過泳池季節性救生員的遴選面試和技能測試,以及完成全職泳池季節性救生員的整段合約期,期間行為和表現良好,便可獲發還上述按金。
如本署中止或取消計劃,會向見習員發還已繳付的按金。
在以下任何一種情況下,見習員將不獲發還有關按金:
(一) 見習員未能圓滿完成本署指定的訓練;
(二) 見習員未能通過本署指定的考試;
(三) 見習員未能通過泳池季節性救生員的遴選面試和技能測試;
(四) 見習員通過泳池季節性救生員的遴選面試和技能測試後,拒絕接受本署聘任為全職泳池季節性救生員;或
(五) 見習員未能在本署滿意的情況下完成全職泳池季節性救生員的整段合約期。
薪酬
見習泳池季節性救生員
見習員月薪為13,650元
全職泳池季節性救生員
2021泳季全職泳池季節性救生員月薪為港幣18,560 元,另可獲發放受聘期實得薪金總額10%至15%的約滿酬金,2022年泳季的月薪及聘用條款以獲聘時之合約為準。
當值時間
見習泳池季節性救生員
見習員須在本署指定的時間(一般為星期一至六)接受總時數約為100小時的全日制訓練和考試,為期約一個月。另外,見習員須在本署轄下公眾泳池工作。訓練和工作合共時數為每星期45小時(不包括用膳時間),可能須不定時、超時及輪班工作(包括星期六、日及公眾假期),實際訓練及工作時間由主管安排。
全職泳池季節性救生員
全職泳池季節性救生員的每週標準工作時數是45小時。每天工作7個半小時(不包括用膳時間)。須按照所屬主管人員的安排,在上午6時15分至晚上10時15分期間輪班當值,或須超時工作,並須在星期六、日及公眾假期當值,實際工作時間由主管安排。
Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees
Trainees will mainly undergo training in lifesaving and learn the daily operation of swimming pools with a view to acquiring the Pool Lifeguard Award issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society and becoming SLG(SP) of LCSD.
Full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard
(1) To ensure the safety of swimmers at public swimming pools of the LCSD;
(2) To rescue swimmers in distress;
(3) To maintain order; and
(4) To perform cleaning work, etc.
In-service Training
Trainees will be enrolled to attend related vocational training courses (provided by relevant professional institutions) and sit for professional examinations for attainment of the following lifesaving qualifications during the employment –
(1) Bronze Medallion;
(2) First aid;
(3) Aquatic First aid; and
(4) Pool Lifeguard Award
Trainees are required to first deposit HK$2,500 for attending the training and examinations. To encourage Trainees to successfully acquire lifesaving qualifications and serve as FT SLGs(SP), the deposit will be refunded to those who have successfully completed and passed the training and examinations as designated by the LCSD, as well as passed the selection interviews/ trade tests of SLG(SP) and completed the whole contract period of FT SLGs(SP) with satisfactory performance and conduct.
On abortion and cancellation of the Scheme, the LCSD will refund to Trainees the amount of deposit that they have paid.
The deposit will not be refunded to those Trainees in any one of the following situations –
(1) those who fail to successfully complete the training as designated by the LCSD;
(2) those who fail to pass the examinations as designated by the LCSD;
(3) those who fail to pass the selection interview/ trade tests of SLG(SP);
(4) those who do not accept the appointment as FT SLGs(SP) after passing the selection interview/ trade tests of SLG(SP); or
(5) those who fail to complete the whole contract period as FT SLGs(SP) to the satisfaction of the LCSD.
Salary
Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees
The monthly salary of Trainees is HK$13,650.
Full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard
The FT SLGs(SP) of 2021 swimming season is remunerated with the monthly salary at HK$18,560 and a gratuity at the rate of 10% to 15% of the total basic salary during the contract period. The monthly salary and terms of appointment to be offered for 2022 swimming season are subject to the prevailing contract terms at the time the offer of appointment is made.
Working Hours
Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard Trainees
Trainees are required to receive full-time training and examinations (normally on Monday to Saturday) for a total of approximately 100 hours in about one month as specified by the LCSD. Trainees are also required to work at any public swimming pool under the LCSD. The total hours of training and work are 45 hours net per week (excluding meal breaks). Trainees may need to work on irregular hours, overtime and shifts (including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays). Actual training and working hours will be arranged by supervisors.
Full-time Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard
The conditioned working hours of FT SLGs(SP) are 45 hours net per week with 7.5 hours per day (excluding meal breaks). The incumbents are required to work on shifts during the period from 6:15 am to 10:15 pm according to supervisors’ arrangements or to work overtime. They may also be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors.
月薪13,650元 / 月薪18,560(季節性救生員)
在適當情況下,泳池季節性救生員可根據《僱傭條例》的規定而享有休息日、法定假日(或替假)、年假、產假、侍產假及疾病津貼。
申請人必須:
(一) 中英文程度達小學六年級水平或具備同等學歷;
(二) 通過視力和顏色分辨能力測試(申請人視覺敏銳度最少達6/60,即近視不高於約300度。除非申請人無須配戴適當眼鏡即可執行拯溺工作,否則在當值時須配戴適當的不碎眼鏡及泳鏡);以及
(三) 通過游泳測試,即以任何向前泳式及在沒有配戴泳鏡的情況下,在2分鐘或以內游畢100公尺。
[註:
(一) 申請人如於截止申請日期當日已持有香港拯溺總會頒發的有效泳池或沙灘救生章或以上級別證書,將不獲考慮。
(二) 申請人如未能提供上述第(一)項的中英文語文能力證明文件亦可申請。面試中將有中英文語文能力的評核。
(三) 見習員如圓滿完成和通過由本署指定的訓練和考試,及通過泳池季節性救生員的遴選面試和技能測試,並獲本署聘任為全職泳池季節性救生員,會由正式聘任當日起獲得全職泳池季節性救生員的月薪。
(四) 本署保留更改、中止或取消泳池季節性救生員訓練計劃的權利。]
Candidates should:
(1) attain a level of proficiency in Chinese and English languages equivalent to Primary 6 standard;
(2) pass an eyesight test and the Ishihara’s Test for colour-blindness (A candidate’s visual acuity should be at least 6/60, i.e. myopia not exceeding roughly 300 degrees. Wearing of plastic corrective lens and goggles with appropriate prescription while on duty is mandatory unless candidates have unaided good eyesight for lifesaving duties) ; and
(3) pass a swimming test by swimming 100 metres forward with 2 minutes or less time in any style without wearing swimming goggles.
[Notes:
(1) Applicants will not be considered if they possess a valid Pool Lifeguard Award or Beach Lifeguard Award or above issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society by the closing date of applications.
(2) Candidates without supporting documents of the Chinese and English languages proficiency of (1) above may also apply. There will be assessments of Chinese and English languages proficiency during the tests.
(3) If Trainees successfully complete the training and pass the examinations as designated by the LCSD, as well as the selection interviews/ trade tests of SLG(SP), they will be appointed as FT SLG(SP) and start to be remunerated with the monthly salary of FT SLG(SP) with effect from the date of appointment.
(4) The LCSD reserves the rights to modify, abort or cancel the Swimming Pool Seasonal Lifeguard Training Scheme.]

見習員入職訓練約於二O二一年第四季展開。見習員圓滿完成及通過由本署指定的訓練和考試後,必須在緊接訓練期之後通過泳池季節性救生員的遴選面試和技能測試。受聘為全職泳池季節性救生員後,他們須在二O二二年泳季期間於本署轄下泳池執行拯溺及相關職務。
獲聘的全職泳池季節性救生員將按非公務員合約條款受聘。

(二) 申請人須把已填妥的申請書連同有關學歷的證明文件副本,在截止申請日期或之前遞交或郵寄至查詢地址。請在信封面上註明「申請泳池季節性救生員訓練計劃」。申請人如以郵遞方式提交申請,請在投寄前確保信封面已清楚寫上正確的地址及已貼上足夠郵資,以避免申請未能成功遞交。所有郵資不足的郵件會由香港郵政安排退回或銷毀。所有申請書,如資料不全、逾期遞交、以傳真或電郵方式遞交、申請人並未妥為簽署,或非使用指定的申請表格,均不予考慮。
(三) 申請人如獲選參加招聘測試,通常會在截止申請日期後四至六星期內接獲通知。如遇到申請人數眾多或其他特殊情況,可能需時稍長。如申請人未獲邀參加測試,則可視作經已落選。
