Assist in developing, implementing and supervising the operation of support programmes for Hong Kong’s trade and industry; liaise with industrial support organisations, local enterprises, participating organisations and institutions of the support programmes; assist in administering funding schemes including processing of applications and default claims, monitoring funded projects and supervision thereof, liaison with stakeholders and answering public enquiries; conduct research and analysis on trade and industrial related issues and assist in compiling statistics; provide logistical support to meetings; and handle other trade and industrial related matters. Note : May be required to work irregular hours, outside office hours, or attend duty trips outside Hong Kong.

The vacancy is open to both male and female. Candidates should have

• (a)a recognised Hong Kong degree, or equivalent;
• (b)attained ‘Level 3’ or above in Chinese Language and English Language, and Grade C or above in Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See Note);
• (c)at least seven years’ post-degree experience in commercial-related duties of which four years are in a supervisory post; and
• (d)a good knowledge of Hong Kong’s trade and industry. Experience in the field of customer service, accountancy, commercial credit assessment, or export-related businesses; good computer knowledge and a good command of Putonghua are preferred.
