Main duties of the Research Assistant are:
(a) to assist in conducting research on welfare and labour policies which involves review of literature, designing, administering and monitoring of research studies, analysing and reporting data (both qualitative and quantitative) gathered from surveys, interviews, and other sources, preparing research reports and records;
(b) to arrange and coordinate internal and external meetings with collaborative partners including researchers and other stakeholders;
(c) to perform office administrative work; and
(d) to perform any other duties as and when required.

Candidates should:
(a) have a Bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent. Postgraduate qualification in the fields of social policy, sociology, politics and public administration or related disciplines would be an advantage;
(b) have at least three years of relevant full-time working experience, preferably in conducting research projects in the Government, academic or research institutions, think tanks[See Note (1) ];
(c) have excellent writing proficiency in English and Chinese, with Level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (2)];
(d) have good knowledge in statistics and hands on experiences in using data analytic tools including Excel, SPSS, and NVivo; and
(e) be self-motivated, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
