職責
臨床心理學家的主要職責為 -
(a)為警隊人員提供心理輔導服務；
(b)就刑事調查提供心理方面的專業協助，特別是涉及未成年人士及易受傷害人士的調查；
(c)舉辦精神健康促進計劃及有關警務工作心理方面的訓練課程；以及
(d)就心理測試及其他心理課題進行研究。
(註：可能須不定時工作。)
A Clinical Psychologist is mainly deployed on -
(a) providing psychological services for Force members;
(b) rendering expert assistance to psychological aspect of criminal investigation, particularly those involving minors and vulnerable persons;
(c) running mental health promotion programmes and training courses in psychological aspects of Police work; and
(d) conducting research on psychological testing and other topics of psychological interest.
(Note: May be required to work irregular hours.)
入職條件
申請人必須 -
(a)持有本港大學的臨床心理學碩士學位，或具備同等學歷；以及
(b)符合語文能力要求，即綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷(包括中文運用及英文運用)取得「二級」成績，或同等成績[註(1)]；並能說流利粵語及英語。
Candidates should have -
(a) a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; and
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of 'Level 2' results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [Note (1)]; and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English.
入職條件(註)
(1) 綜合招聘考試的中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。香港高級程度會考英語運用科「C」級或以上和「D」級的成績(或同等成績)則分別會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」和「一級」成績。在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天(即2014年10月24日)仍然有效。
(2) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人在基本法測試(學位/專業程度職系)的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素，但不會影響其申請公務員職位的資格。原則上，申請人的學歷、經驗和才能仍然是考慮其是否適合被聘用的主要因素。
