Vacancy (1):
(1) Develop engaging multimedia contents for HKO’s social media platforms, including brainstorming creative ideas as well as production of the multimedia contents.
(2) Design and produce 3-D and 2-D computer graphics and animations, including motion graphics and character animations, to explain common weather phenomena, weather systems, etc., for TV weather programmes and social media platforms.
(3) Assist in video production (including creative scriptwriting and post-production processes) for TV weather programmes, e.g. “Cool Met Stuff”.
(4) Assist in designing HKO publicity materials and newsletters, including graphics and souvenirs utilising HKO’s mascot.
(5) Provide graphic design support for operation and enhancement of TV weather graphic system.

OR

Vacancy (2):
(1) Perform outdoor/indoor video filming and photography, including operation of location sound recording and lighting, and aerial photography.
(2) Develop engaging multimedia contents for HKO’s social media platforms, including brainstorming creative ideas as well as production of the multimedia contents.
(3) Design and produce 2-D computer graphics and animations, including motion graphics and character animations, to explain common weather phenomena, weather systems, etc., for TV weather programmes and social media platforms.
(4) Assist in video production (including creative scriptwriting and post-production processes) for TV weather programmes, e.g. “Cool Met Stuff”.
(5) Assist in the promotion of HKO’s social media service, publicity and public engagement activities, etc.

For both vacancies, he/she may be required to work outside normal office hours.

Candidates should:
(1) have a Hong Kong degree in multimedia design or relevant subjects (such as digital media, creative media, multimedia technology, film and television), or equivalent;
AND
(2) attained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent;
AND
(3) have at least 3 years relevant post-qualification full-time working experience in multimedia design, animations, video production, or relevant disciplines.
AND

For Vacancy (1):
(A) possess broad knowledge in 2-D and 3-D animations (including character animations and motion graphics), and video production (including creative scriptwriting and post-production);
AND
(B) be proficient in multimedia authoring tools, including Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, and Blender/Autodesk Maya.

For Vacancy (2):
(A) possess broad knowledge in video filming and photography (experience in aerial photography would be an advantage), video production (including creative scriptwriting and post-production), and 2-D animations (including motion graphics and character animations);
AND
(B) be proficient in multimedia authoring tools, including Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere.

For both Vacancy (1) and (2):

Candidates are required to submit a portfolio of relevant previous works.

Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience of promoting science education to public by videos or other forms of multimedia creatively, especially on social media platforms. Basic understanding of HKO’s core services will also be an advantage.
