職責
助理海事監督主要負責協助海事主任／海事監督執行以下職務：
(a) 與港口運作有關的職務，包括船舶交通管理及客運碼頭管理和運作；以及
(b) 舉行香港合格證明書考試，以便船員在本地船隻和遊樂船隻服務。
(註：或須(i)上班時穿着制服；(ii)輪班當值或上班候命工作；以及(iii)在本港或海外修讀培訓課程。)

An Assistant Marine Controller is mainly deployed on assisting Marine Officers/Marine Controllers in :
(a) port service operations, including vessel traffic management and ferry terminals management and operations; and
(b) conducting examinations for Hong Kong Certificates of Competency for services on local vessels and pleasure vessels.
(Note : May be required to (i) wear uniform on duty; (ii) work shifts or undertake standby duties; and (iii) attend training courses either locally or overseas.)

入職條件
申請人必須：
(a)(i) 持有海事處處長所簽發的二級（甲板高級船員）（遠洋航行）適任證書，或同等資歷；或
(ii) 持有海事處處長所簽發的二級（甲板高級船員）（遠洋航行）香港執照；或
(iii) 持有海事處處長所簽發的二級或以上（甲板高級船員）（內河航行）適任證書，並在取得資格後累積四年相關工作經驗 [請參閱註(1)] ；
(b) 能操流利粵語，中文讀寫能力俱佳；
(c) 能操流利英語，英文讀寫能力俱佳；以及
(d) 在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績 [請參閱註(2)]。

(b) 能操流利粵語，中文讀寫能力俱佳；
(c) 能操流利英語，英文讀寫能力俱佳；以及
(d) 在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績 [請參閱註(2)]。
Candidates should -
(a)(i) have a Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) (Seagoing) Class 2 issued by the Director of Marine, or equivalent; or
(ii) a Hong Kong Licence (Deck Officer) (Seagoing) Class 2 issued by the Director of Marine; or
(iii) a Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) (River Trade) Class 2 or above issued by the Director of Marine with four years of relevant post-qualification experience [See Note (1)];
(b) be able to speak fluent Cantonese, read and write good Chinese;
(c) be able to speak fluent English, read and write good English; and
(d) have a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test [See Note (2)].

(1) 經驗年數現時未符上文入職條件(a)(iii)項的規定，但現正致力累積所需經驗年數的人士也可申請；申請人如獲錄用，必須於獲聘時在經驗年數方面符合要求才獲聘任。
(2) 政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》及《香港國安法》知識。在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績是所有公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法及香港國安法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加相關的《基本法及香港國安法》測試或未曾在相關的《基本法及香港國安法》測試考獲及格成績，仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法及香港國安法》測試。
