• (a)To plan and develop short videos on parent education and resource package of parent-child activities, and organise and conduct seminars/talks for kindergarten teachers, principals and parents of young children regarding the videos and resource package developed;
• (b)To plan and develop Chinese language learning and teaching resources;
• (c)To organise and conduct seminars/experience sharing activities for dissemination of good practices and learning/teaching resources to kindergartens; and
• (d)To report regularly to the supervisors on work progress and perform any other duties as and when required by the supervisors for enhancing the quality of Chinese language education at pre-primary level.

• (a)
  • (i)A Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in Chinese Language, or equivalent [See Notes
  • (i)and (ii)];
  • (ii)A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution (preferably majoring in Chinese Language), or equivalent [See Notes
  • (i)and (ii)]; and
  • (iii)At least 5 years' relevant post-degree experience in teaching Chinese Language, curriculum development, quality assurance, school improvement or school support focusing on Chinese Language education at pre-primary or primary level and/or academic research (preferably language education research) [See Note (iii)];

OR

• (i)A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution (preferably majoring in Chinese Language), or equivalent [See Notes
• (i)and (ii)];
• (ii)A Hong Kong Master's Degree in Education, or equivalent [See Notes
• (i)and (ii)]; and
• (iii)At least 10 years' relevant experience in teaching Chinese Language, curriculum development, quality assurance, school improvement or school support focusing on Chinese Language at pre-primary or primary level and/or academic research (preferably language education research) [See Note (iii)];

OR

• (i)A Hong Kong bachelor's degree in Chinese Language or Chinese Language Education, or equivalent [See Notes
• (i)and (ii)];
• (ii)A certificate level or a recognised teacher training qualification in pre-primary education, at least at Qualified Kindergarten Teacher qualification level [See Notes
• (i)and (ii)]; and
• (iii)At least 5 years' relevant experience in planning the teaching and learning in Chinese Language and curriculum development at pre-primary level [See Note (iii)];

• (b)Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (iv)];
• (c)Preference will be given to candidates who have a higher degree in education or Early Childhood Education, good knowledge of the local education system and curriculum; experience in training and development of teachers, curriculum and resource development, school support in Chinese Language teaching, research and development projects and/or language education research;
• (d)Good computer knowledge and/or knowledge and experience in teaching resources development by using mult-media means preferred;
• (e)Good command of Chinese language and effective communication in English language preferred; and
• (f)Applicants will be required to attend an interview and a written test.
