(a) To review secondary school leaders' professional development needs in curriculum development and provide relevant training programmes to enhance their capacity in whole-school curriculum planning;
(b) To conduct a comprehensive review and advise on the implementation of the project(s) related to secondary school students' learning of other languages;
(c) To provide language consultation and conduct relevant seminars;
(d) To conduct research and dissemination on educational issues, including the latest developments of school curriculum, Language Across the Curriculum and Reading across the Curriculum; and
(e) To undertake any other duties as assigned.

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree in English language, or equivalent [see Note (i)];
(b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [see Note (i)];
(c) At least 25 years' post-qualification [as specified in (a) & (b)] teaching experience or education-related experience, such as school support, school inspection and curriculum development; among which a candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in holding a senior management position [see Note (ii)];
(d) Good command of both English and Chinese;
(e) Good organisation, communication and interpersonal skills;
(f) Awareness of the recent developments of the education system in Hong Kong, with particular reference to current trends in both global and local curriculum development and education reforms; and
(g) A higher degree or equivalent related to curriculum development and/or professional training preferred.
