英文編輯(年報)的職責包括為《香港年報》提供英文編輯服務，當中包括編輯、編寫、校對、監察和統籌英文年報的印刷版本、網上版本及電子書版本的工作，以及政府新聞處所需的任何其他編輯服務。
職責
Duties of the English Editor (Yearbook) will include provision of English editorial services for the Hong Kong Annual Report consisting of editing, writing, proofreading, monitoring and co-ordination for its printed, online and e-book versions; and any other editorial services as required by ISD.
入職條件
- (1)(甲) 持有香港任何一所大學頒發的學位，或具同等學歷；及在英文編輯及寫作，尤其是編輯及撰寫英文刊物具有八年或以上的相關工作經驗；或
(乙) 持有香港任何一所專上院校頒發的經評審副學士學位/高級文憑，或具同等學歷；及在英文編輯及寫作，尤其是編輯及撰寫英文刊物具有八年或以上的相關工作經驗；或 (丙) 持有註冊專上學院註冊後所頒發的文憑，或具同等學歷及在英文編輯及寫作，尤其是編輯及撰寫英文刊物具有八年或以上的相關工作經驗；或 (丁) 在香港高級程度會考考獲兩科及格，並在香港中學會考另外三科考獲3等級／C級或以上成績(以上科目其中必須包括英國語文科；如屬香港中學會考，必須為英國語文科(課程乙))，或具同等學歷(見備註)；及在英文編輯及寫作，尤其是編輯及撰寫英文刊物具有十一年或以上的相關工作經驗；或 (戊) 在香港中學會考考獲五科及格，及在英國語文科(課程乙)考獲3等級／C級或以上成績，或具同等學歷(見備註)；及在英文編輯及寫作，尤其是編輯及撰寫英文刊物具有十三年或以上的相關工作經驗；或 (己) 在英文編輯及寫作，尤其是編輯及撰寫英文刊物具有十五年或以上的相關工作經驗；
- (2)具有良好的溝通技巧；
- (3)熟悉時事新聞；
- (4)願意不定時工作及能在緊迫時限內完成工作；及
- (5)通曉電腦運用，特別是文書處理。
(備註:政府在聘用非公務員僱員時，過往香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙)C級的成績，在行政上會被視為等同2007年及以後的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3等級的成績。)
- (1)(a) have a degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; plus at least 8 years of relevant working experience in English editing and writing, in particular editing and writing English publications; OR
- (b)have an accredited associate degree / higher diploma from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; plus at least 8 years of relevant working experience in English editing and writing, in particular editing and writing English publications; OR
- (c)have a diploma from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; plus at least 8 years of relevant working experience in English editing and writing, in particular editing and writing English publications; OR
- (d)have a pass in 2 subjects at advanced level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Level 3/Grade C or above in 3 other subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (one of the above subjects should include English Language in HKALE or English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE), or equivalent (see remarks); plus at least 11 years of relevant working experience in English editing and writing, in particular editing and writing English publications; OR
- (e)have a pass in 5 subjects and Level 3/Grade C in English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE, or equivalent (see remarks); plus at least 13 years of relevant working experience in English editing and writing, in particular editing and writing English publications; OR
- (f)at least 15 years’ relevant working experience in English editing and writing, in particular editing and writing English publications;
- (2)have good communication skills;
- (3)have a very good understanding of current affairs;
- (4)be prepared to work outside normal office hours and meet tight deadlines; and
- (5)be computer-literate, with good word processing skills.
(Remarks: For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.)
