To provide support to various investment promotion teams and other function areas in the delivery of the investment promotion missions of the Department as well as its facilitation services to attract overseas and Mainland companies to set up or expand business operations in Hong Kong. An Investment Promotion Assistant may be deployed to work in one of the following streams of work - (A) Investment Promotion Teams and Function Areas The candidate is required to (a) maintain and manage departmental systems and databases; (b) compile returns and statistical reports and data; (c) provide logistic and administrative support for investment promotion missions and projects targeted at the overseas and Mainland markets; (d) prepare briefs and presentation materials on investment related initiatives and provide support in budgetary control; (e) assist in organizing and managing events and promotional activities; and (f) undertake research for respective division / sectors. (B) Marketing and Events The candidate is required to (a) verify and arrange payments and spend records for the team; (b) liaise with design houses and contractors to help with the production of publications and promotional materials; assist in the proof-reading of Chinese promotional materials and updating of content; (c) assist in the logistics arrangements, e.g. promotions, invitations, venue decoration, for local/ overseas events including press conferences, community programmes and exhibitions; (d) support the PR team; and (e) input contact details into the CRM system. While there is an immediate vacancy in (A) above, we are also recruiting suitable candidates for anticipated openings available in the near future in the other work streams.

(a) Minimum two years of full-time work experience, preferably gained in (i) corporate account relationship management; (ii) marketing and event management; or (iii) investment or trade promotion; (b) A Hong Kong Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent preferably in business administration, finance, economics, or international marketing; (c) Knowledge of and experience in investment promotion or economic development is an advantage; (d) Fluency in English and Putonghua; and (e) Proficient in English and Chinese word processing, and in the applications of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
