高級獸醫師主要負責
- (a)為獸醫師職系人員提供內部培訓；
- (b)就設立廣州從化馬病無疫區提供意見；
- (c)與海外的獸醫學院聯繫；
- (d)設計及統籌獸醫學生實習計劃；
- (e)就特定項目進行風險分析及深入研究；及
- (f)執行助理署長(檢驗及檢疫) 及首席獸醫師指派的其他職務。 〈註：可能須不定時及輪班工作，被調派往其他部門如食物環境衞生署及康樂及文化事務署，在香港特別行政區境外工作，在新界工作及/或居住；以及駕駛部門車輛。〉
職責
The Senior Veterinarian is mainly deployed on
- (a)providing in-house training and development for veterinary grade officers;
- (b)giving advice on the establishment of equine disease free zone in Conghua, Guangzhou;
- (c)liaising with overseas veterinary colleges;
- (d)designing and organizing the veterinary students placement programme;
- (e)conducting risk analysis and in-depth research on specific subjects; and
- (f)performing any other such duties as directed by Assistant Director (Inspection and Quarantine) and Principal Veterinary Officer.
Note:
May be required to work irregular hours and shifts; be posted to other departments such as Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and Leisure and Cultural Services Department; work in areas outside Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; work and/or live in the New Territories; and drive a departmental vehicle.
入職條件
申請人必須(a)持有具備根據香港法例第529章《獸醫註冊條例》可以在香港註冊為獸醫的資格，或同等資格(註)；(b)在取得相關資格後，具備至少十年相關工作經驗；(c)能閱讀及書寫中文，並懂廣東話及普通話者優先。
The candidate should have
- (a)a veterinary qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Veterinary Surgeons Registration Ordinance, Cap. 529 (note), or equivalent;
- (b)at least 10 years’ post-qualification working experience; and
- (c)preference will be given to candidates who can read and write Chinese and can speak Cantonese and Putonghua.
