The Investment Advisor (Innovation and Technology Venture Fund) is mainly deployed to assist in the setting up of the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund (ITVF) and administration of the ITVF. These include – (a) to work with legal counsel and other professional advisor(s) to prepare for all documentations necessary for the operation of the ITVF; (b) to conduct researches on VC market trends and deal flow situation; (c) to contribute to assessment of the investment offers by the partner VC funds; and (d) to analyse the financial and investment reports received from partner VC funds and seek clarifications from VC funds, if necessary.

Candidates should have – (a) a first or second class honours degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, preferably with a Master degree in Finance, Economics or other relevant disciplines [see Note(1) and (2)]; (b) qualification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent [see Note(2)]; (c) at least 10 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience, after obtaining the qualification of (b), in direct investment fund and portfolio management gained from recognised venture capital (VC) fund, private equity fund, corporate investment fund, family office or investment bank (corporate finance or merger and acquisition), five years of which should be in position with supervisory responsibilities [see Note(3)]; (d) strong oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, with Level 3 or above in both Chinese and English language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent, and good command of Cantonese and Putonghua [see Note(2) and (4)]; (e) strong business and financial acumen, and experience in fund accounting and operation is strongly preferred; (f) good hands on knowledge of all related legal documentation and local financial regulations; (g) good work ethic and demonstrates commitment to excellence; and (h) self-motivation and ability to work proactively and in detail.
