職責
生態調查員或會調派至不同科別，負責(a) 協助進行香港野生動物和植物的生態調查；(b)協助監察並執行保育行動，以保護物種及生境；(c)彙編和分析調查所收集的數據／資料；(d)協助控制及管理滋擾黑點的野生動物；(e)進行培訓／接待遊客、教育和聯絡工作；以及(f)執行其他相關職務。
An Ecological Surveyor may be deployed to various divisions on (a) assisting in conducting ecological surveys on wild animals and plants in Hong Kong; (b) assisting in the monitoring and implementation of conservation actions for the protection of species and habitats; (c) compiling and analysing the data/information collected in surveys; (d) assisting in control and management of wild animals at nuisance black spots; (e) undertaking training/visitor service, educational and liaison work; and (f) performing any other relevant duties.
入職條件
申請人必須(a)持有本港大學頒發的生物學、動物學、植物學、生態學、環境科學，或相關學科的文憑或學位，或具同等學歷；(b)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具同等成績；以及(c)具有進行生態調查或鑑辨動物或植物的經驗。
註：2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) E級成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第2級成績。
Candidates should have (a) a diploma or degree in biology, zoology, botany, ecology, environmental science or a related subject from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and (c) experience in conducting ecological survey or identification of animals or plants.
Note : “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
