The successful candidates will be posted to different divisions and deployed on the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of civil engineering works; and administration of civil engineering projects in areas of drainage and sewage system, etc.

(N.B: Successful candidates may be required to work irregular hours, shift and in remote areas.)

This position is open to both male and female. Candidates should -

• (a)be a Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Civil Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975, or equivalent

• (b)have at least 3 years' relevant post-qualification working experience

• (c)have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2

Note:

• (1)Applicants holding non-local professional qualifications only should prove the equivalency of such qualifications by the closing date for application, with supporting documents such as evidence of acceptance of their qualifications by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers for admission to its Corporate Membership (Civil Discipline).
• (2)Candidates with less than 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience may also apply but a lower monthly salary (HK$53,970 per month) will be offered if selected for appointment.
• (3)For appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
