職責
二級工人主要負責以下工作：(a)執行與建造和維修行人徑、康樂地區及設施有關的體力勞動工作；(b)植樹和植林、保養樹木和植林區，以及割草；(c)撲滅山火；(d)栽種植物及收集種子；以及(e)收集及處理垃圾。
(註：須在交通不便的偏遠地區工作；穿著制服；不定時工作及／或輪班工作；以及在惡劣天氣、颱風襲港或在發生緊急山火時工作。)
A Workman II is mainly deployed on (a) manual work associated with construction and maintenance of footpaths as well as recreational areas and facilities; (b) planting and maintenance of trees and plantations as well as grass cutting; (c) hill fire fighting; (d) plant propagation and seed collection; and (e) litter collection and disposal.
(Note : May be required to work in remote places with difficult access, wear uniform, work irregular hours and/or perform shift duties, and perform duties during inclement weather / typhoon / emergency hill fire.)
入職條件
申請人(包括男性及女性)必須 (a) 完成小六課程，或具同等學歷；(b) 在種植、公眾潔淨、建築或維修工程的範疇具兩年相關經驗；(c) 能以中文及簡單英語溝通；閱讀簡單中文及簡單英文；以及書寫簡單中文或簡單英文；以及(d) 通過一項技能測試。
Candidates, both male and female, should (a) have completed Primary 6 education, or equivalent; (b) have 2 years’ relevant experience in vegetation, public cleansing, construction or maintenance work; (c) be able to communicate in Chinese and simple English; read simple Chinese and simple English; and write simple Chinese or simple English; and (d) pass a trade test.
入職條件(註)
為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。獲邀參加遴選面試的應徵者，其對基本法的認識會在面試中以口頭提問形式被評核。除非兩位應徵者的整體表現相若，招聘當局才會參考應徵者在基本法知識測試中的表現。
