A Senior Technical Officer (Multimedia) is mainly deployed on (a) conducting research and development of multimedia, learning technologies and e-Learning training systems and materials; (b) providing technical support and advice on using learning technologies in training; (c) providing training in the production of multimedia, learning technologies and e-Learning training materials; (d) administration and supervision duties; and (e) training of junior officers. (Note : May be required to work irregular hours and perform outdoor duties.)

Candidates should (a) have a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Information Technology or Multimedia from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) / technical college / technical institute, or equivalent; (b) have 4 years' working experience in production and development of learning technologies or e-learning training materials [see Note (1)]; (c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent [see Note (2)]; (d) be able to communicate in Chinese and English; and (e) have passed a trade test.
