職責
主要職責包括：
(a) 聯絡承辦商提供技術服務；
(b) 監督承辦商履行合約及環境表現要求；
(c) 調查、跟進及回覆投訴人有關路邊車輛廢氣監測的投訴；
(d) 操作車輛廢氣監測儀器；
(e) 診斷儀器狀況及保養工作；以及
(f) 組織及分析計劃收集所得的數據及為專業人員準備簡報材料。
其他相關的工作要求：工作時間及地點須視乎部門的運作需要而定。獲錄用者或需(a)不定時及超時工作，包括晚上、周末和周日及公眾假期；以及(b)在戶外工作。

The main duties include:
(a) to liaise with contractors for providing technical services;
(b) to monitor contractor’s compliance with contract and environmental performance requirements;
(c) to investigate complaints related to vehicular emission measurement at roadside, take follow-up actions and reply to complainants;
(d) to operate the vehicular emission measurement equipment;
(e) to carry out diagnosis and maintenance work for equipment; and
(f) to organise and analyze the data collected from projects and prepare presentation materials for professional staff.
Other Job-related Requirements: The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the department. The successful candidate may be required to (a) work irregular hours and overtime, including evenings, weekends and public holidays; and (b) work outdoors.

(a) 持有本港的大學／理工或香港專業教育學院 ／科技學院／工業學院頒發的生物、醫療實驗室科學、機械電機、電子或土木工程、化學技術、計算機學、水污染管制、廢物管理、環境學，或相關科學／工程科目文憑或高級證書，或具備同等學歷；或
(b) 在一九七五年十二月五日或之後，成為香港工程師學會相關專業界別的仲會員；以及
(c) 符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科考獲第2級（註）或以上成績，或具同等成績（註：2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科（課程乙）E級成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或以後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第2級的成績）。

Candidates should have –
(a) a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Biology, Medical Laboratory Science, Mechanical Electrical, Electronic or Civil Engineering, Chemical Technology, Computer Science, Water Pollution Control, Waste Management, Environmental Studies, or a relevant science or engineering subject from a Hong Kong university / Hong Kong polytechnic, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a Hong Kong technical college / Hong Kong technical institute, or equivalent; or
(b) Associate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in a relevant discipline admitted on or after 5 December 1975; and
(c) met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 (Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note: ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth)
