Duties:
(a) To perform 24 x 7 shift duties;

(b) To operate data centre facilities in data centres; monitor their performance; trouble-shoot and take corrective/recovery actions;

(c) To prepare maintenance schedule; monitor progress; take rectifying/recovery action in case of exception;

(d) To monitor data centre facilities infrastructure using software tools if required; troubleshoot and take remote/on-site corrective/recovery action; provide data centre support services;

(e) To assist in enforcing physical and system security;

(f) To assist in providing on-site support in the use of facilities;

(g) To provide helpdesk services;

(h) To assist in procurement of IT equipment and services, contract administration, site preparation work, and management of IT asset and external suppliers;

(i) To assist in maintenance of records and documentation, compilation of management statistics and reports; and

(j) To escort visitors to strengthen the physical security of the data centre facilities.

Candidates should have –

(a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent [Note 1] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [Note 2], or equivalent; or

(ii) Level 2 [Note 3] / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [Note 2], or equivalent;

(b) one year’s relevant experience in –

(i) the control and operation of a computer system or computer application; or

(ii) the provision of support services to terminal network users; and

(c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note 3] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent.
