• (a)To assist the senior management to forecast and exploit future strategic opportunities and mitigate risks in making policy recommendations;
• (b)To engage and develop strategic and collaborative relationships with stakeholders including but not limited to local and overseas think-tanks, academia and other community and sectoral leaders;
• (c)To handle internal and external research studies;
• (d)To plan and monitor programmes of official visits and duty trips, as well as meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences, and take follow-up action as required; and
• (e)To undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor deems appropriate.

Candidate should have:

• (a)
  • (i)a master’s degree and two first or second class honours bachelor’s degree in different disciplines; or
  • (ii)two master’s degrees in different disciplines awarded by a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
• (b)proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note 1];
• (c)at least 5 years’ post-degree full-time working experience in academic, regional, economic, or commercial research, public policy or public affairs; and therein not less than 1 year in high level stakeholder (e.g. senior government officials, prominent political parties or regional/international organisations) engagement and management;
• (d)proficiency in collaborating effectively within a team and independently on major complex programmes or research projects;
• (e)ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and consistently deliver high-quality output within demanding time constraints; and
• (f)good interpersonal and presentation skills.
