科學主任(醫務)主要負責研究、開發和審核現有和新的測試方法；開發、建議和檢討實驗室的標準、品質控制指引，以及生物安全和生物保安措施；進行獲指派有關檢測及診斷動物疾病和人畜共通病，以及檢測化學物殘餘的實驗室工作；就制訂有關實驗室測試的政策和措施提供技術意見，並向各方人士傳達相關資料；就有關動物疾病和人畜共通病，以及化學物殘餘測試事宜，與政府部門、其他機關以及教育和研究機構聯絡；以及向獸醫實驗室科技師職系人員提供培訓和技術支援。

職責
A Scientific Officer (Medical) is mainly deployed on conducting research, development and validation of existing and new test methods; developing, recommending and reviewing laboratory standards, quality control guidelines, biosafety and biosecurity measures; performing assigned laboratory work relating to detection and diagnosis of animal diseases and zoonoses, and detection of chemical residues; providing technical advice for formulating policies and measures relating to laboratory testing and communicating relevant information to various parties; liaising with government departments, other authorities, and educational or research institutes in research studies relating to animal diseases and zoonoses, and chemical residue testing; and providing training and technical support to officers in Veterinary Laboratory Technologist grade.
Note:
May be required to work irregular hours and shifts; and work in the New Territories.

- (i)持有本地大學的醫療化驗科學／微生物學／生物化學／生物科技／生物醫學／化學／獸醫學／生命科學相關範疇的碩士學位或同等學歷；或
- (ii)持有本地大學的醫療化驗科學／微生物學／生物化學／生物科技／生物醫學／化學／獸醫學／生命科學相關範疇的學士學位或同等學歷；以及兩年全職實驗室研究生或與以上所列科目相關研究的經驗；以及
- (b)在綜合招聘考試的能力傾向測試取得合格成績(註一)；以及
- (c)符合語文能力要求，即在綜合招聘考試(註一)的兩張語文試卷(中文運用(註二)和英文運用(註二及註三))中取得「一級」成績或同等成績；以及
- (d)在《基本法及香港國安法》測試中取得及格成績(註四)。
Candidates should have
- (a)
- (i)a Master degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Biomedical Science/Chemistry/Veterinary Science/Life Sciences in a relevant field, from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent; or
- (ii)a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Biomedical Science/Chemistry/Veterinary Science/Life Sciences in a relevant field, from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent; and 2 years’ full-time post-graduate experience in a laboratory or in research relevant to the above subjects; and
- (b)a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) (Note 1); and
- (c)met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 1’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese (Note 2) and Use of English (Note 2 & Note 3) in the CRE, or equivalent; and
- (d)a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (Note 4).
入職條件(註)
- (1)能力傾向測試的考生成績分為及格或不及格，而中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績則分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」，並以「二級」為最高等級。申請人現時沒有所需綜合招聘考試（包括能力傾向測試）的成績或同等成績，必須自行報名應考於2024年10月舉行的綜合招聘考試，否則申請人可能未能符合所申請職位的入職條件。如已報考上述考試，其申請只會在申請人取得所需的綜合招聘考試成績後方獲處理。
- (2)政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第5級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科C級或以上的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試中國語文科第4級成績；或香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科D級的成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的一級成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第5級或以上成績；或香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上成績；或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) English Language科C級或以上成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。香港中學文憑考試英國語文科第4級成績；或香港高級程度會考英語運用科D級成績；或GCE A Level English Language科D級成績，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的一級成績。
- (3)在International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上，並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士，在IELTS考試成績的兩年有效期內，會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級成績。IELTS考試成績必須在職位申請期內其中任何一日有效。
- (4)政府會測試所有應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》及《香港國安法》知識。在《基本法及香港國安法》測試取得及格成績是所有公務員職位的入職條件。申請人必須在《基本法及香港國安法》測試中取得及格成績方會獲考慮聘用。如申請人在申請公務員職位時仍未曾參加相關的《基本法及香港國安法》測試或未曾在相關的《基本法及香港國安法》測試考獲及格成績，仍可作出申請。他們會被安排在招聘過程中參加相關《基本法及香港國安法》測試。
