(a) To process applications for the Electric Taxis Subsidy Scheme;
(b) To process vehicle type approval and individual vehicle compliance applications for the compliance of emission requirements under Air Pollution Control (Vehicle Design Standards) (Emission) Regulations;
(c) To process vehicle exemption applications for importation and registration of vehicles in Hong Kong;
(d) To update and maintain the database of application records;
(e) To assist in the development and handling of the database of application records including e-submission and e-certificate;
(f) To handle public inquires; and
(g) To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

Other Job-related Requirements: The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the department but will not normally exceed 17.5 hours per week. There is no guarantee on the minimum number of hours of work in any given period.

Candidates should –
(a) have a Diploma or Higher Certificate from a Hong Kong university, Hong Kong polytechnic, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Hong Kong technical college or Hong Kong technical institute, or equivalent, in subject relevant to environmental studies, science, engineering, or equivalent;
(b) have met the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note);
(c) have at least ten years of full-time working experience in environmental protection, including at least three years in vehicle emission control; and
(d) be proficient in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and vehicle emissions model.
