• (a)to perform data collection, conduct analysis and prepare research reports;
• (b)to conduct research and analysis on public election-related issues;
• (c)to liaise with government departments, universities in/outside Hong Kong, think tanks and research organisations as appropriate
• (d)to provide assistance in functions organised by the Bureau; and
• (e)to perform other duties as required by the Bureau.

Candidates should have:

• (a)a bachelor or master degree awarded by education institutions in/outside Hong Kong; and preferably have post-qualification working experience in public affairs, policy research, liaison with Mainland or overseas counterparts;
• (b)Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007, or proven proficiency in written Chinese and English in the form of published work; have good understanding of political or community affairs;
• (c)strong communication, organisational and presentation skills; and high proficiency in written Chinese and English as well as Putonghua; and
• (d)be self-motivated, mature and able to work independently; and prepared to work irregular hours.
