每小時230元，每次工作可得至少兩小時的酬金；第3小時起始的酬金計算，則以半小時作為基準。

所有入選申請人，須通過語文能力測試及經警方查核證實無犯罪紀錄，並工作表現良好，才會獲得錄用。兼職傳譯員獲取錄者，在政府需要其服務時，始會予以聘用。如申請人曾接受正式繙譯訓練，或經大學/專上學院審定具認可資格，將獲優先考慮。

（a）在法庭程序中擔任傳譯工作；（b）繙譯文件；（c）把載於錄音帶或錄影帶中的會面記錄或法庭聆訊記錄謄寫出來;及（d）核證繙譯文件。

(a)Interpret in court proceedings;
(b)Translate documents;
(c)Transcribe records of interview and court proceedings with reference to audio/video tapes; and
(d)Certify translations of documents.

申請人必須（a）大學畢業或具有同等學歷；（b）精通中文或英文（口講及書寫），及（c）能操流利及能書寫其所申請成為兼職傳譯員的外語。

All applicants must

(a)possess a recognized university degree or an equivalent academic qualification;
(b)be proficient in English or Chinese both in written and spoken forms; and
(c)be proficient in the foreign language (both oral & written) for which they apply to be a part-time interpreter.
