輪機主任(培訓) 的主要職責為：(a)根據海事處課程大綱，為小輪船長職系籌辦「二級輪機操作員」和「三級輪機操作員」訓練課程、製備教材並負責講授；(b)為小輪船長職系籌辦「輪機範疇相關工作強化訓練課程」、製備教材並負責講授；(c)為小輪船長職系籌辦輪機範疇相關工作的實務訓練、製備訓練教材並負責講授；(d)就輪機使用前的實地檢查工作、燃料補給程序、水深測量和不同類型船用輪機的實際操作，作出或提供示範；以及(e)在有需要時協助上級執行其他職務。
職責
An Engineering Officer (Training) is mainly deployed on
- (a)preparing teaching materials, organizing and lecturing on “Engine Operator 2” and “Engine Operator 3” training courses for the Launch Master Grade in accordance with the syllabus of the Marine Department;
- (b)preparing teaching materials, organizing and lecturing on “Enhancement Training Course related to Engineering Aspect” for the Launch Master Grade;
- (c)preparing practical training materials, organizing and lecturing on practical trainings related to engine aspect for the Launch Master Grade;
- (d)conducting and providing demonstration in situ pre-use checks on engines, bunkering procedures, taking of soundings, and the actual operation of different types of ship engine; and
- (e)assisting senior officers in other duties as and when required.
入職條件
申請人必須具備以下資歷：
- (a)持有海事處處長所簽發或接納的二級(輪機師) 合格證書，或同等資歷；
- (b)持有香港任何一所理工學院、香港理工大學、香港專業教育學院或工業學院／科技學院所頒發的 機械工程或輪機工程文憑或高級證書，或具備同等學歷；以及
- (c)在取得二級(輪機師) 合格證書後累積五年相關工作經驗。
Candidates should have:
- (a)a Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 2 issued by or acceptable by the Director of Marine, or equivalent;
- (b)a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic, polytechnic university, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, technical institute/college, or equivalent; and
- (c)five years’ relevant experience after obtaining the Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 2.
