二級監工（土木工程）的主要職責是－
- (a)進行實地視察和監督工程、擬備報告和成本預算、備存記錄；
- (b)進行實地測試和監督各類設備和機器的操作；
- (c)協助制定和推行保養工程計劃；以及
- (d)督導初級人員和管理物料。
註：
獲取錄的申請人可能派往其他政府部門工作；或須在偏遠地區工作，在正常辦公時間以外工作、不定時和／或輪班工作;以及執行隨時候召、上班候命和緊急職務。
職責
A Works Supervisor II (Civil) is mainly deployed on the following types of work -
- (a)carrying out site inspection and supervision of works, preparing reports and cost estimates of works, and keeping records;
- (b)conducting site tests and supervising the operation of equipment and plants;
- (c)assisting in planning and implementation of programmes for maintenance works; and
- (d)supervising junior staff and managing stores.
(Notes: Selected candidates may be posted to other Government departments; and may be required to work in remote areas, outside normal working hours, in irregular hours and/or shifts; and undertake on-call, standby and emergency duties.)
入職條件
申請人必須－
- (a)
- (i)持有香港其中一間理工大學／理工學院、香港專業教育學院或工業學院／科技學院頒發的土木工程學證書，或具同等學歷 [參閱註(1)]；或
- (ii)已完成一項認可的土木工程技術員學徒訓練；或
- (iii)具備最少五年擔任土木工程熟練工人的經驗；以及
- (b)符合語文能力要求，即在香港中學文憑考試或香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科考獲第2級或以上成績，或具同等成績 [參閱註(2)]。
Candidates should have -
- (a)
- (i)obtained a Certificate in Civil Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) or a technical institute/technical college

- (ii)completed a recognised Technician Apprenticeship in civil engineering; or
- (iii)at least five years' experience as a skilled worker in civil engineering; and
- (b)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.

- (1)政府在聘任公務員時，香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標並表現優異」成績，以及其他語言科目C級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第3級成績；香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目(最多計算兩科)「達標」成績，以及其他語言科目E級成績，會被視為相等於新高中科目第2級成績。
- (2)有關科目可包括中國語文及英國語文科。
- (3)政府在聘任公務員時，2007年前的香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C級及E級成績，在行政上會分別被視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第3級和第2級成績。
