(a) To conduct research and analysis on food and health related issues;

(b) To liaise with government departments and local/overseas universities, think tanks, healthcare/research organisations and any other organisations as appropriate;

(c) To help prepare relevant documents such as presentations, briefs, speeches and reports; and

(d) To perform any other duties as required by the Secretary for Food and Health’s Office.

Candidates should possess -

(a)(i) a postgraduate degree in public health or social sciences from a Hong Kong university or equivalent, plus at least six years’ relevant research experience in public policy, public affairs, public health or other social sciences subjects (Note 1); or

(ii) a doctorate degree in public health or social sciences from a Hong Kong university or equivalent, plus at least three years’ relevant research experience in public policy, public affairs, public health or other social sciences subjects (Note 1);

(b) Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note 2); and

(c) good interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation and ability to work independently to complete the assignment within the specified timeframe.
