The Graphic Designer shall provide creative concepts, graphic design, layout and artwork, computer graphics, infographics, and pre-press output files for publicity / promotional materials relating to planning matters in different printed and web-based formats in an attractive, impactful and reader-friendly way.

Candidates should have-

• (a)obtained a Diploma/Higher Certificate, or above, in Graphic Design or related discipline, from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute/technical college, or equivalent;
• (b)at least 3 years’ post-qualification full-time working experience in producing creative concepts, graphic designs, layouts and handling full colour pre-press output files for publications for professional services, business, and property. Candidates with relevant experience of similar nature will also be considered. Solid experiences in providing design services to government publications will be an advantage;
• (c)good knowledge and practical experience in the use of computer softwares such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Corel Draw, etc. Knowledge in geographical information system, Microstation, AutoCAD, and other 3D graphic software, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Chinese word processing, and printing, and practical experience in creating infographics based on dataset and making infographic maps, and communication with printing factories will be an advantage; and
• (d)met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent. [See Note
