• (a)To plan, co-ordinate, and execute data collection and analysis (both quantitative and qualitative), including liaison with local/overseas universities, think tanks and research organizations;
• (b)To undertake research assignments;
• (c)To provide research support in the form of writing up briefs, think pieces and reports, etc.;
• (d)To conduct public engagement exercises, including the organization of focus groups, seminars and public meetings; and
• (e)To provide secretariat support for various committees, working groups and panels.

Candidate should have:

• (a)a first or second class honours bachelor’s degree, from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
• (b)proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, Level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note 1] ;
• (c)at least 5 years’ post-degree full-time working experience in academic, regional, economic, or commercial research, public policy or public affairs [See Note 2];
• (d)ability to work on research projects independently;
• (e)ability to multi-task and deliver quality output to tight timeline;
• (f)good interpersonal and presentation skills;
• (g)strong interest in public policy research; and
• (h)good knowledge in computer applications and proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage.
